Apartment make-ready FAQ
- A make-ready unit is an apartment that has been returned to lease-ready condition after a move-out — cleaned, repaired, repainted, and re-keyed so it can be shown and occupied the same week. In property management the term covers everything between the outgoing tenant's keys coming back and the unit going back on the market. A "turn" is the work itself; "make-ready" is the standard the unit has to meet at the end of it.
