Water, Fire & Storm Restoration in Eagle Pass & Del Rio — Damage to Final Paint, One Contractor
Licensed Texas general contractor now taking water, fire and storm losses in Eagle Pass, Del Rio and the counties between — extraction and drying, smoke and odor, mold-aware rebuilds, and the reconstruction that follows. One contractor from the first walkthrough to the last coat of paint, not a dry-out company that hands you off. Se habla español.
One contractor, dry-out to rebuild
Extraction and structural drying, then the demo, drywall, texture, paint, tile and trim that put the house back. No handoff to a second company halfway through.
Se habla español
Rey handles these calls himself in English or Spanish — including the walkthrough, the scope, and the conversation with your adjuster.
Documented for your claim
We scan and measure the loss before demo starts and write the scope in Xactimate, the same software the adjuster uses.
Straight answer on timing
We are based in San Antonio, about two and a half hours out. You will get an honest arrival time, not a promise made to win the call.
Why we are down here
We took a job in Eagle Pass. Now we are taking the calls.
Raging Bull Contracting is a licensed Texas general contractor based in San Antonio, serving the metro since 2010. Eagle Pass is a new service area for us — we are here because a homeowner called, not because we opened an office on Main Street, and we would rather say that plainly than pretend to a local history we do not have.
What we do bring is the thing that is genuinely hard to find out here: one contractor who does the dry-out and the rebuild. In most water losses the mitigation company extracts and dries, then hands you a stack of paperwork and leaves. Finding a general contractor willing to take a half-demolished house from there — and willing to argue the scope with an adjuster — is where Eagle Pass homeowners lose weeks.
We also work in Spanish. In a community where the large majority of households speak Spanish at home, that is not a tagline on a page: it means the walkthrough, the written scope, and the call with your adjuster can all happen in the language you actually want to have that conversation in.
What we take down here
Water, fire, and the mold that follows either one
The common thread is that all three end the same way — a house that has been torn into and has to be put back. That second half is the part most restoration companies do not do.
Water & storm damage
Extraction, structural drying with moisture readings, and removal of materials that cannot be saved — then the rebuild. Flash flooding, drain backups, roof leaks after a storm, and burst supply lines after a freeze.
Fire & smoke recovery
Fire damage is rarely only fire. There is the burn itself, the smoke and soot that travel into rooms the flames never reached, and the water the fire service put in to stop it. We handle the demo, the soot and odor work, and the full reconstruction afterwards.
Mold — found, coordinated, rebuilt around
We find the moisture that is feeding it and fix that first, because remediation without the source is temporary. Remediation itself is performed by licensed remediators we coordinate, to standard and documented for your claim. Once clearance is in hand, our crew rebuilds.
Maverick & Val Verde Counties
What actually puts water in a house here
Flash flooding and drainage overflow
The heavy-rain events that move through Maverick County put water into homes faster than the drainage can carry it away. Most of what we are called for is not the river — it is street and yard water finding a low door, a garage slab, or a slab-on-grade floor.
Rio Grande flooding
The river has produced major crests at Eagle Pass before, including 1998, 2010 and 2013. When stages run high, the low-lying properties nearest the river are the ones that take structural water rather than nuisance water.
Burst and frozen pipes
The February 2021 freeze did its damage here through plumbing, not through the river — supply lines split, and the water ran while nobody was home to shut it off. A freeze loss is an interior loss, and it soaks from the top down.
Storm and hail damage that lets water in
Roof and window damage from severe storms often shows up as a water problem weeks later — a ceiling stain, a soft spot, a smell. By then the wet material has been closed up, which is exactly when mold becomes part of the job.
Before we get there
The first 24 hours, in order
We are two and a half hours away. These are the six things worth doing before anyone arrives — they protect the house and they protect the claim.
- 1Stop the water at the main shutoff.
- 2Kill power to any room where water reached outlets or cords.
- 3Photograph everything before you mop or move anything — the claim is only as strong as the record.
- 4Report the loss to your carrier to open the claim, but do not accept a scope or a settlement on day one.
- 5Move dry belongings out of the water's path; leave wet materials in place until they are documented.
- 6Get extraction and structural drying started within 24–48 hours. That window is what keeps a water loss from becoming a mold job.
How the job runs
Phone call to final walkthrough
1. Phone call
What happened, is the water stopped, and what we can realistically commit to. In English or Spanish.
2. Documented walkthrough
We scan and measure the loss and photograph it before anything is torn out, so hidden and secondary damage is on the record with a time stamp.
3. Extraction and drying
Standing water out, then structural drying with moisture readings. Drying is finished when the numbers say so, not when the schedule does.
4. Scope and claim
The scope is written in Xactimate so our numbers line up line-for-line with the adjuster's, and supplements go in the moment demo uncovers more.
5. Rebuild
Drywall, texture matching, paint, flooring, tile, cabinets and trim — the same crew, through to final walkthrough.
Your insurance company has an adjuster. Now you have one on your side.
When you file a claim, your carrier sends an adjuster whose job is to close the loss for as little as the policy allows. Most homeowners face that alone — and settle for a check that never covers the real damage. Not with Raging Bull. Our in-house insurance department goes to work for you: we document every dollar of damage, write the scope in the carrier's own software, and fight to get your claim paid for what it actually takes to rebuild.
We DocuSketch every loss
A full 3D scan and measured floor plan of your property, captured before demo. Hidden and secondary damage goes on the record — and an adjuster can't shortchange what's documented.
We submit the supplements
When we open a wall and find damage no one could see from the doorway, we photograph it, add it to the scope, and file the supplement — so it's covered by your carrier, not eaten by you.
You stay our client
First walkthrough to final invoice, we work for you — not the carrier. We don't stop pushing until your home is restored and your claim reflects the full loss.
All carriers. Property managers and adjusters: we already run make-ready and water-damage repairs for one of the largest property management companies in Texas across San Antonio multifamily properties. Direct line for portfolio work: apartment make-ready & unit turns.
Service area
Eagle Pass, Del Rio, and the roads out
Restoration work travels further than remodeling does, because a water loss will not wait for a contractor who is closer. Two roads take us out there: US-57 and US-277 southwest to Eagle Pass, and US-90 west to Del Rio. US-277 links the two towns, so the towns along either road are the same trip for us. Remodeling stays inside the San Antonio area — it is restoration we travel this far for.

Our remodeling work stays inside the San Antonio metro and about 40 miles around it. Water, fire and storm restoration is what we travel for. See our San Antonio restoration page for completed work and the full documentation process.

Eagle Pass water damage restoration FAQ
- Eagle Pass is about 143 miles from San Antonio — roughly two and a half hours on US-57 and US-277. Del Rio is about 155 miles on US-90, a little under three hours. We will tell you on the phone when a crew can realistically be on site, and we hold to it. We would rather lose the call than promise an arrival time we cannot make, because in a water loss a contractor who shows up late is worse than one who told you to call someone closer.
